There are times in our lives when we recognize that what we are doing is no longer working or where we are going feels unclear. You may long to feel love, joy, and connection again. Perhaps the old tools that used to work are no longer effective and you are searching for something else. It can feel difficult to know where to turn during these times. We are not meant to walk this journey alone, and the good news is you don't have to. My approach is rooted in somatic-based attachment theory, supporting you in understanding how you connect to yourself and others. It is my belief that when we establish safety in a therapeutic relationship, we create a foundation from which change, healing, and growth is possible. I provide a compassionate and collaborative space for you to explore the unique story that makes you, YOU. As both modern research and ancient healing modalities suggest, we store our experiences, memories, and emotions not just in our mind but also in our bodies. I offer a blend of somatic-based therapies including Hakomi therapy, mindfulness techniques, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Expressive arts, and nature based teachings, guiding you in reconnecting to your body's wisdom and your whole self. I work best with individuals who are motivated to do the brave and sometimes difficult work that is therapy. I enjoy supporting folks navigating major life transitions, grappling with grief, trauma, anxiety, and folks in recovery, healing from codependency or addiction. I love working with individuals and couples who desire healthy intimacy in their relationships and are committed to healing what blocks them from the loving relationships that they most desire. My background is in wilderness therapy and addiction treatment. It is through this work that I found a passion for supporting individuals and their families moving through incredibly vulnerable and life changing chapters in their lives. In addition to my work as a therapist, I offer wilderness rites of passage ceremonies for individuals and groups. Earth based ceremony and ritual work has been foundational in informing my approach to therapy and healing as a whole. I aim to support clients in reconnecting to their innate wise and wild nature, decolonizing from within. A Bit More About Me I did not always know who I was, where I was going, or how I was going to get there. I had to come close to losing my life first. Consumed by my own addictions, I felt powerless, scared and alone. It took every ounce of courage I had to ask for help and I still wasn't sure the help would "work." In time, I did find healing. I found it in a connection to our Earth, in my therapists' offices, and in a healthy community of people who helped me remember my life could have purpose and meaning again. Through my own experience and witnessing others, I have come to believe in the incredible human capacity for change.
